Then & Now

RS Cory, (Don Bert B (XX) x RS Genesis (Hol. breeding), & Judy Scott
Hi Ron, I found your website through googling you.  I just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed Cory.  I have earned my bronze (USDF) medal on her and we are schooling 4th level.  She will be 16 this year and is still sound, happy and willing.  Thank you so much for breeding this beautiful horse and thank you for your help and support when I was starting out.  I have very happy memories of my experience at your facility.  You attracted the nicest bunch of people in Mass. I was so sad to hear of Don's and Genny's deaths.  I knew that they must be gone by now, but it still made me very sad to hear of it.  It must have been horrible for you for Genny to die in foal.  I have thought of breeding Cory - I was considering Tom Noone's stallion, Fred Astaire, or Sagnol who is an approved Holsteiner by Sandro Hit.  However, I worry that she is too old now since she is still a maiden.  I would be devastated if anything happened to her while foaling.  Besides, she is still teaching me to ride.  We can do 4 tempis now and we are working on pirouettes.  I'll send you pictures of her.  Thank you again for my lovely Cory.  I've enjoyed her so much.  Judy

Hi , I just wanted to let you know how the little 1/2 Saddlebred is doing you bred her in 1998 and she is going great! still barefoot and sound showing 2nd level 3&4'  schooling 3rd and hope to show 3rd in 2010. She has been to the equine affair 2 times in a row to demonstrate saddlebreds for dressage. She can move,  and we have been clinicing with Volker Brommann and ride regularly with Barend Hielbrand, they both really like her. I really had to take my time with her she was not ridden until she was 5 and didn't really start cantering until 6, but she has turned out to be a great trail horse and we hack out 2-3 times a week. I was just thinking how long I have owned her and thought I would look you up to let you know she is doing fine and continuing to progress and I am having a blast with her she is still a character.  Sincerely Lisa Terrell
