RS Sport Horse is dedicated to providing quality education and training for the Sport Horse industry. This program is very versatile and can be adapted to many unique situations and interests.
How this education program can help you
The success of your personal equine education or your equine business can depend upon the availability of a solid and well planned training and education program. Such a program should include training in Equine Anatomy, Nutrition, Hippology, First Aid, Proper Grooming, Stable management, Proper physical conditioning of the horse, and other practices that are vital to you and your horse.
What R S Sport Horse provides
R S Sport Horse offers a complete and comprehensive equine education.
The program provides a solid course of learning in the foundation skills that affect the equestrian and horse. This training is available to individuals or groups, thru lessons, clinics, seminars, or private consultation. The training program is designed for success, with the aid of specific goals and progress measurement.
An individual or group can opt to train in one specific discipline or customize a program that best suits their needs. Progress can be monitored through awards given to participants that successfully complete a subject or related subjects (*); this is an option and not mandatory. This education will allow the participant to get more out of their riding instruction as it will give them goals and a structure to follow.
How it works
Instruction sessions are set up with a format that will cover a specific topic. The session information is supported by the required text books. Each participant in a session is given a worksheet to follow along with the presentation of the topic. This worksheet outlines key points that are presented in the session. All topics are presented in a practical, hands-on manner. This allows the participant to do and understand the techniques and build skills. Skill and a system that will produce consistent results are the desired outcome of each session. Participating members of the education program will receive a card that will list the goals of the session. The member will be evaluated on their performance of each goal. The member will receive a certificate of achievement after having been evaluated 8 times per each goal. A badge will be given to a member who acquires the necessary certificates that relate to that badge. The badge represents the individual's mastery of the basic principles of a particular discipline, i.e., dressage, hippology, endurance riding, stable management, horse ownership, groom, stadium jumping, jump course designer, or eventing.
The member can concentrate on acquiring the medal portions of the education program once they have achieved badge status. These areas become more specialized for the member or can all be participated in for a well rounded background.
